This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit this website, contact us, buy a licence, and when your installation of SEO Control Center checks its licence. We collect as little as possible.

1. Who is responsible

2. The short version

  • This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party content.
  • SEO Control Center runs on your own server. Your SEO data, your Google and DataForSEO credentials and your users never reach us.
  • We only process what we need to sell, deliver and support your licence, and we never sell personal data.

3. Visiting this website

This website consists of static pages. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so your browser does not contact anyone else. Our hosting provider records technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, browser) in server logs, to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. The hosting provider deletes these logs automatically after a short period.

4. When you contact us

When you e-mail us, we use your address and message to answer you. We keep the correspondence as long as needed for that, and longer only where tax or commercial law requires it.

5. When you buy a licence

  • Orders and payments are handled by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle processes your order and payment data under its own privacy policy. We never see your full payment details.
  • Paddle passes on to us your name, e-mail address, country, and the order and subscription details. We use them to issue, renew and manage your licence, to send you your licence key and important notices about it, and to provide support.
  • We keep this data while your licence exists and afterwards as long as tax and commercial law require, typically up to ten years for records of sales.

6. The licence check

To check its licence, your installation contacts our license server when you activate it and then about once a week. It sends:

  • the licence key;
  • a random installation ID, created by your installation;
  • the domain of the installation;
  • the versions of SEO Control Center and PHP.

The license server stores this with the time of each check, and records the IP address of each request in its activity log. We use this only to validate licences, prevent misuse (for example a key used on several servers) and help you with support requests. We keep this data while the licence exists, and afterwards only as long as we need it for security, support or legal reasons.

7. Who receives data

  • Paddle, for orders, payments, invoices and refunds (see section 5).
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the servers for this website, the license server and our e-mail, and processes data only on our behalf.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose data.

We do not share personal data with anyone else and do not use it for advertising.

8. Legal bases and international transfers

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process your data to perform our contract with you (sections 5 and 6), to comply with legal obligations (retention of sales records), and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website and service (sections 3, 4 and 6). We are based in the United States, and our servers are located there, so your data is processed in the United States. Where required, transfers are based on the necessity to perform our contract with you or on appropriate safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses.

9. Security

All connections to this website and to the license server are encrypted (HTTPS). Licence keys are stored only as hashes on the license server, and access to it is protected by two-factor authentication.

10. Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, and have it corrected, deleted or handed over to you. You can also restrict or object to our processing. Write to sales@seocc.net; we will reply within one month. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Residents of US states with privacy laws, such as California, have similar rights to know, correct and delete their data; we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

11. Children

SEO Control Center is a product for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes

We will update this policy when our processing changes, and show the date of the last change below. For significant changes that affect existing customers, we will also tell you by e-mail.
